Brethren to the Zephyr, Starlit night their canopy. Her head flung up as she saw all the horses in this stallion's herd. So he was populaire or strong, she would have to work hard if she wanted him to cover her.

As Katie walked the stallion through beside the stable, many others neighed welcomes.Quarter Horse mares grazed beside their foals whom pranced and jumped, others heavy with foal. The only gelding at the barn was Black Cat,a black Quarter Horse. The barn housed six stallions.Pickpocket, the one leading Wind,Magic Moment,a Chestnut,Better Dun Now Then Later,a dark, tiger striped dun.Cream Beloved,an albino that stood well over sixteen hands.Past The Point,a blue roan mustang whom was wilder then ever. And upcoming Tontoro Bey,a yearling whom glowed silver, just as wind.Seamingly made from bone, sinew, and moonbeams.Pickpocket answered her as soon as Katie dismounted. So you are new to the barn now,I will tell you that I'm lead of this ranch, even if five other stallions roam here. Then he warned as he caught sight of the charmer.Watch out for Better Dun Now Then Later.

For Ever, I shall fallow you, My love, My lord,She nodded weakly. She her limbs felt like lead on her body. SHe need to wash and she needed to sleep and eat. In a few day-months she would be better, she knew it but now all she could do is stand and look. She didn't have the energy for stallions pretending to be better then there leader. ((ok now the poem is done so I'll just make it up as I go allong and it will change like quotes from books or poems or just things I made up dependoing on what is happening))

Katie dropped Pickpockets reins and left him ground tied, walking carefully toward Wind.Katie watched the the wind carry the mare's mane.It came from the north.North Wind.Yes,thats what she would be called.Katie gently touched the mares muzzle.Seeing she didn't shy or run.She replaced the rope with a halter, and released the mare in a thickly grassed padddok.A clear, clean trough filled the the top with water. Katie returned the Pickpocket and untacked him.She washed him thoroughly, letting the cool water run down his back.Pickpocket stood easily,as soon as she was done,Pickpocket was let loose in a paddok, the one next to Wind. The stallion, clear of all tack bolted, her tossed his head, ears pricked as he slid to a stop abruptly, then spun and raced back to the gate.

Never did grass taste so good in my mouth, Never did water refresh me as much as this water did, And never did this grass feel like such a good bed.She looked at him and then called to him softly. She drank a bit of water and ate a little grass before wandering slowly over to his paddock. She lay down watching him. It felt good on the soft bouncy grass. Soon enough she was dead asleep.

Pickpocket watched her silently before he too fell into a deep sleep.
Morning dawned with gray, cloudless skies.Katie stepped from the house, gazing at North Wind. What beautiful foals she would throw..Katie shook her head, the mare probably wouldn't accept Pickpocket yet.The stallion stood easily at the gate, awaiting his owner.Katie smiled and walked to him.Hey boy,she whsipered, stroking his muzzle.Soon Katie hit the trails.
Better Dun Now Then Later gave a pierceing call to Wind. His blue eyes flashed againsnt the sun.He arched his neck and fiddled with the latch,It clicked, and he grinned. He nosed the door open.Wind's pasture fence was smaller and the stallion cleared the white fence wih ease.He slowed to a trot and approached the sleeping mare.

And so the battle began, both of wit and strengthShe woke up and looked at the approching stallion. She got up quickly and got ready to drive him away. She bared her teeth and pinned her ears. I have my stregth back, back off silly colt she said standing her ground. She was laying a bit when she said that she had her strength back. She didn't really. If anything she felt more tierd, but he didn't have to know that. One thing she learned in the wild was defence and she was allmost allways ready to fight enless she was beaten, then it was pointless.

Dunnit was about to reply, but only before he noticed Katie and Pickpocket walking lazily back up the trail.Dunnit spun and leaped the fence then galloped to his paddok, slamming the gate behind him.
Pickpocket pricked his ears and walked back to his paddok.Sweat hadn't touched him,so Katie let him go without a wash.

Now I tell you the truth, My soverien.Wind trotted over to greet him and told him of what Better Dun Now Then Later had done and then reached her muzzle out to him. She was shaken slightly but not too bad. She would get over it in a few minutes. She just wanted to look more helpless and scared then she was so he would let her nouzzle him.

Typical Dunnit. Was all Pickpocket said,he tossed his thick neck, throwing his head skyward.Katie watched the mare and stallion for a moment before running off to finish daily chores.
